Team Saxo Bank

Founded in 1998 and officially known as Team home - Jack & Jones, the new name Team Saxo Bank as one of the most successful teams in professional cycling of the known world. The highly qualified team of Denmark mainly run by Riis Cycling and hold the Company's CEO and former Tour de France champion, Bjarne Riis.

Team began Home - Jack & Jones, with 11 riders, a mix of professionals and so far successful competitors for the first time. They spent theirfirst season riding in the second division but moved up to the UCI ProTour (formerly First Division) in 2000. Above all, was their most successful season in 1999 with 26 wins UCI y, it can help in the Premier League.

By promoting a further name change with the arrival of a new sponsor, Memory Card A / S in 2000. This was the first year took the team for the Tour de France, not as successful as last year have contributed tohigher caliber team. The team has struggled to build on the success of the 1999 season to build until 2005, when the team now known as Team CSC, won the UCI ProTour team classification. Riis Cycling says new main sponsor Saxo Bank team, then joined the Tourde France, Team CSC Saxo Bank's Carlos Sastre under an early lead and then winning the Alpe d'Huez helps the team to return to the team championship.

This season holds great hopes for the team now known as Team Saxo Bank, with its latest sponsorship specialist to enable them to take the prestigious Specialized Bikes. The now 25 strong team, 21-38 years have a wealth of experience when it comes to special wheel and hope to continue their successin 2010 with the objective of the Tour de France win again.
